Angels Way is administered by a board of directors
and an advisory board who serve without pay.
Volunteer opportunities are limited only by
the donor's imagination. Some of the
traditional ways people have volunteered over the
years are:
- Office work (answering phones, writing donor
thank-you notes, filing, etc.)
- Arts and craft classes with the residents
- Healthy living classes with the residents
- HANDYMEN for household repairs (this is our
biggest need)
- Working the tables at the monthly fundraising bake
sale or baking for same
- Mentoring the residents in various areas such as
breast-feeding, childbirth, budgeting, parenting,
nutrition, etc.
- Serving on the Board of Directors
- Bible study with the residents
- Working in our "Mom and Baby Shop" collecting and
managing the distribution of donated household
items, maternity clothes, baby clothes and equipment
- Serving on various committees (annual reunion,
annual open house, fundraising, etc.)
Suggestions for creative "outside the box" volunteer
opportunities might be:
- Haircuts for the residents
- Auto repair for the residents
- Exercise instruction for the residents
- Gather other friends to serve on specific
committees (e.g. Walk-a-Thon, Bridge Party, Tea,
Dinner, etc.)
